Make Your Own Crochet Trees Just In Time For The Holiday Season!
The cold weather has arrived up here in Canada! Every Winter/Christmas season, I always like to decorate & always add a new piece to my decor items. Last year I designed my own knit trees so this year I thought I would design some crochet ones!

Let me give you some general info on these cuties!
Materials Needed
I designed the trees in 3 different sizes. I like displaying items in odd numbers as I feel it looks more balanced so I made sure to have 3 sizes! lol. So let’s talk about what you will need to make these beauties!
Hook
You will need a 5 mm hook.

I particularly like the ergonomic crochet hooks because they have enlarged handles which make it easier to grip and manoeuvre the hook. This is a a link to the one I use.
Yarn
Any Worsted weight yarn will work for this project! I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in Deep Forest.

Pattern Instructions
The trees are started by making a chain and working in the round.
The crochet charts provided in the pattern for each tree size show which rounds to work the bobbles and where to place them. This Legend show all of the stitches used in the pattern.

You read the crochet charts from right to left for each round.
Tips and Tricks
When working the bobble rounds, make sure to make your bobble pop outward.

Variations and Customisation
So now that I have the trees photographed for the official pattern and for social media, I am going to have so much fun customising each tree with beads, sequins or glitter! Be creative! And please share with me how YOU customise your tree(s)!

I bought this little container of sequins from Michaels Craft Store!
This was a fun pattern to write! Even more fun to make! I am happy with how they look and will have them on display either on my coffee table or as a part of a centrepiece on my dining room table.
